Healthcare: ur doing it wrong

The outlook for Healthcare reform?

In the last few weeks I have started to think that real healthcare reform isn't possible.

President Obama just held a press conference on the subject, and I was impressed with his intentions, but knowing there is so much money involved and the industry is falling over itself to influence the legislation (in their favor).

Funny how the loudest critics and GOP spokesholes have insurance themselves (like the venerable and always wrong Bill Kristol) all have plenty of money to buy if they didn't... pathetic.

I got a good chuckle from Farker Nutty McFinklestein, who's interpretation of recent events as exchange between Congress and the (nonrich) nation on healthcare.... probably closer to the truth than we'd like to think.

"Nation: WE WOULD LIKE A SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Congress: lol wut?
Nation: WE WOULD LIKE A SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Congress: This is teh bil u get
Nation: THIS IS NOT A SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE SYSTEM THIS IS RETARDED.
Congress: This is a stepping stone to a single payer system.
Nation: WHY DON'T YOU JUST DRAFT ONE UP IN THE FIRST PLACE WITHOUT THE STEPPING STONE BULLshiat?
Congress: lol wut?"
